Photo Gallery
This is a photo database for medical mycology that is currently under development. If you wish to submit photos of fungi for inclusion in this database please send the photo, caption and required acknowledgement to dellis@adelaide.edu.au
Mould Identification: A Virtual Self Assessment
This educational section is provided to allow individuals to test their mould identification skills. When you get the answer right you then gain additional information about the case and explanations as to how the final identification is established.
Human Fungal Infections.
This sections provides details of most mycoses which may be accessed either by a clinical classification or by alphabetic listing. Mycoses descriptions contain information on the clinical manifestations, laboratory diagnosis, causative agents and management.
Fungal Descriptions.
This section contains taxonomic descriptions of over 115 species of fungi likely to be isolated in the medical mycology laboratory. Descriptions may be accessed by a taxonomic classification; or by an alphabetic listing. New descriptions will continue to be added to this database.
Laboratory Methods.
This section includes information on methods for antifungal susceptibility testing, specimen collection, microscopy techniques, and recipes for stains and culture media. These may be accessed by method category.
